- אֵירוּסII, אֵרוּס m. (prob. from its use, v. ארס a. deriv.) erus, a musical instrument used at weddings and funerals, drum, taboret. Sot.IX, 14 על האי׳גזרו the use of the erus at weddings was interdicted; v. expl. Bab. ib. 49b; Y. ib. 24c top. Kel. XV, 6 הא׳ (used at funerals).
